The overall design proposal
The proposed scheme can be designed to fit well into the local environment and will be an attractive facility for visitors and local business users. The site is at the foot of Brent Knoll and while the existing buildings are elevated from the road, and have prominence, the new buildings are located at the lower level. The idea is to ensure that the character is that of a garden setting and the new buildings would be less dominant.
The development will be designed to meet the relevant criteria for sustainability and renewable energy.

Possible lodge design options - 1
The design & development process included researching a range of lodge designs that reflect the architects thinking and are shown above and below. The proposal is that lodges would all include green or live roofs which provide habitats for wildlife. Any pergolas would be designed to enhance the garden landscaping.
