Contextual Influences

Elements of the building form and choice of materials has been influenced partly by the site’s location and historic uses and other key buildings in South Bristol, including a number large buildings associated with the tobacco industry eg The Tobacco Factory and The Robinsons Building, some of which no longer survive. Also the immediately adjacent buildings of Airpoint and Monica Wills House. The use of colour both historically in the choice/finish of rendered houses and, more recently, in the public art & graffiti particularly prevalent in South Bristol as well as‘super-graphics’.
