The development, which was proposed as Build to Rent with Policy Compliant affordable units, has been revised following feedback and comments from the July consultation which were as follows:
- Generally good comments regarding the proposals quality of presentation and (particularly) the inclusion of a model(s) Build to Rent Model supported.
- Height – 12 storeys on the original - Option 1 possibly too high, where a preference was made, Option 2 was preferred.
- Concerns regarding loss of privacy and effect on daylighting for housing at St Dunstans, Honeywick and Clinton Road. Density (linked to Bedminster Green).
- Landscaping – more detail required.
- Concern over level of on-site parking, albeit the scheme is compliant with City Council Policy. Additional views would be helpful showing proposals seen from Monica Wills House/Airpoint and back-gardens on Clinton Road. Concerns over pressure on public services – schools and doctors surgeries.
The proposal for the revised scheme includes:
- 223 apartments - reduced from a max of 225 A mix of 1 bed and 2 bed units - no 3-bed units
- 7-10 parking spaces with electric charge points Part of the parking to accommodate car club spaces
- Residents cycle parking
- 5 electric cycles for residents' use.
